Constitutional Amendment of the day: How much do you know about the 14th Amendment? /1 
The 14th is one of the 3 Civil War Amendments. 13 banned slavery. 15 guaranteed the right to vote regardless of race. Important of course! 2
But the 14th! SO. MUCH. IMPORTANT. STUFF./3
14th Amendment grants US citizenship to anyone born or naturalized here./4
14th Amendment says that states can't write laws that "abridge the privileges or immunities" of a US citizen/5
14th Amendment says that states can't "deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law"/6
AND the 14th Amendment says that states can't deny to its citizens "the equal protection of the laws"/7
The Supreme Court (now back in session!) gets to decide what each of these clauses means when states pass controversial laws/8
