#THREAD 1) Stories about how recent #HWH closures are impacting federal prisoners & their families are still pouring into our offices

2) We've learned of postponed release dates, reduction of #HWH time, and people being placed at #HWHs far from their homes

3) Last week, @Reuters covered the issue and helped spread news of this issue all over the nation! #HWH #cjreform reuters.com/article/us-usa…

4) The #BOP has stated that the #HWH closures impact just 1% of available beds, but the stories we’re hearing

5) suggest the problem is much more widespread. Even prior to the recent closures, the #BOP didn't have enough #HWH space to meet demand.

6) In the meantime, we'll continue to put a human face to this and so many #cjreform issues by sharing the stories of the impacted. Pls RT:
