<New Thread> Conspicuous by absence from Papadopoulos offense sheet: account of what he did w info that Russians had 1000s of HRC emails. 1/
When Papadopoulos learned it, Russians had DNC & Podesta emails but it was not publicly known that they had even been hacked. 2/
Furthermore, Clinton’s emails—though a different set—were a massive campaign issue at that time. 3/
The offense sheet is silent on whether Papadopoulos told anyone else in Trump campaign about it, saying only: 4/
That stands out because offense sheet recounts 11 separate times he told others in Trump campaign re info he got from Russian contacts. 5/
He told “several” Trump foreign policy advisers of his contacts and efforts to set up meeting between Russian gov & Trump campaign. 6/
He told Trump himself on March 31 that his Russian contacts could arrange meeting between Trump and Putin. 7/
Again, in early April he sent multiple emails to other Trump foreign policy advisers touting his Russian contacts and outreach. 8/
On April 25, he told a senior campaign official that his Russian contacts said there is an open invite for Trump to meet Putin. 9/
The day after learning that Russians had Clinton emails, he emailed someone now known to be Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. 10/
On May 4th he emailed Lewandowski again about possibly meeting with staff at the Russian Foreign Ministry. 11/
On May 5th he forward his exchange w Lewandowski to someone now known to be Trump campaign national Co-Chair Sam Clovis. 12/
On May 14th, he emails Lewandowski to inform him that the Russians are interested in hosting Trump for a meeting. 13/
On May 21st, he emails someone now known to be Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort re Russia’s desire to meet Trump. 14/
On June 1st, he emailed first w Lewandowski then w Clovis regarding whether Trump’s wants to go to Russia. 15/
On June 19th, he again emails w Lewandowski saying that if not Trump, Russians would like him or another campaign official to visit. 16/
Papadopoulos was eager to communicate to other Trump campaign officials what he learned from his Russian contacts. 17/
It would appear to have been out of character for him to have simply sat on that info, especially as it was a genuine bombshell. 18/
What’s more, Papadopoulos specifically lied about it, downplaying the significance of the fact that he was told Russia had the emails. 19/
He emailed Trump’s campaign manager the very next day & subject of Russia was discussed. Did he forget to tell him about the emails? 20/
Based on this set of facts, it seems impossible to believe that Papadopoulos did not tell Lewandowski about the emails. 21/
That means Trump campaign knew Russians hacked DNC & Podesta six weeks before Trump Tower meeting to get Russian dirt on Clinton. 22/
It also means that the FBI knew Papadopoulos had this info since Jan 2017 & Mueller has known Trump campaign knew since at least July. 23/
Every interview Mueller conducted since July now must be viewed through this lens. He is likely much farther along than anyone thought. END
