This. Must. STOP!!!!

1/ How many more people will die, how many more children will die, all bc self-centered, self righteous people AND groups (yes, @nra included) think there should be little to no rules to possess guns.

2/ This isnt 1791, it's 2017. The Wild West is no more. The reasons that existed back then where self defense of self & property was a real concern don't exist today. Responsibility to the community MUST take precedence over the individual wants.

3/ Notice I said wants. Owning a semi-automated weapon is NEVER a need. Some would make it seem that way, but it isn't. These weapons belong to law enforcement & military ONLY. All gun owners can get by w/out the current access to guns.

4/ With all of these deaths, gun owners should be asking themselves what they can do & how they can help to make society safer against those who take advantage of the ease of access & ease of use of a deadly weapon to carry out their murders.

5/ What gun owners SHOULDN'T be doing is complaining how their rights are being violated, how they are penalized for following the law. That is the self-centered approach.

6/ Think about what sort of community & country you want to be a part of. Is it one where everyone has that fear in the back of their mind that they could, at any moment, be a statistic? Bc that is the current reality. Guns are too easy to access & too easy to kill with.

7/ Everyone needs to consider the responsibility of being a citizen in this country. You are given a great gift most aren't even aware of. Instead it's the viewpoint of "this impacts ME".

8/ Think of how you would feel if it was your child, your spouse, your parent, your sibling, your loved one who was murdered or incapacitated bc gun access in this country is easier than other westernized countries & a "right" in this country.

9/ Think about how that "right" to "bear arms" is stronger than the life & wellbeing of you & your loved ones. Because right now, it is.
