1) The VA Inspector General finds $39,000,000 in over payments by Obama VA

2) This report covers the audit of payments made through VA’s Fee Basis Claims System (FBCS) encompassing claims paid via that payment process from November 1, 2014 through September 30, 2016

3) The IG found payment errors in 224,000 claims. A staggering 12%!

4) There were four errors that were consistent

5) In addition to overpaying the Obama VA also paid late a whopping 50% of the time.

6) It is not clear if the Obama VA was incompetent or complicit in the fraud. What is clear is that the payment system was being abused by providers and nothing was done to correct it.

7) Secretary of the VA from July 30, 2014 – January 20, 2017 was Robert McDonald

8) The resulting audit released today lists 8 recommendations.

9) The Important Part
The Trump VA agrees with the findings and concurs with all 8 recommendations.(Six in full and two in principle)

10) Note the last sentence of the report:
"The OIG will monitor VHA’s progress and follow up on the implementation of our recommendations until ALL proposed actions are completed."

13) The goal of this thread is not so much to point out the incompetence/corruption of the Obama VA. We all knew that.

14) The goal is to illustrate how to access the IG Reports and the ever important findings and recommendations in advance of Michael Horowitz forthcoming
report on Department of Justice's handling of the 2016 Election and Hillary Clinton investigations.

15) Michael Horowitz created oversight.gov on October 1st, 2017. He wants the public involved in the findings and recommendations of the Inspectors General. Let's oblige him.

17) The Inspectors General keeps track of the implementation of their recommendations and so should we! Especially with regards to Michael Horowitz forthcoming reports into the Department of Justice.

18) President Trump in running his admin like a cost cutting CEO. The mission of the IG is to find fraud, waste, and abuse. It is a match made in heaven.

19) I predict that the Trump Admin will have an excellent record when it comes to implementing the recommendations of the Inspectors General.
