I have downloaded the original documents in the Russian language & am currently validating their integrity. Thus far, they appear to be genuine. The information within them corroborates other intelligence I was already aware of.

It's clever that the article crafts a narrative that Putin decided to pick these tactics back up on his own agenda & quote only defectors who came AFTER 1989 as validating sources completely ignoring the defectors who came over as early as 1961 with the SAME information.
There's a reason for this. The post-1989 defectors have only ever validated the Soviet Collapse theory. Soviet-era defectors providing identical intel since 1961, 6 of whom I can publicly discuss, point to a different agenda w/much darker implications than #FakeNewsMedia reports.
These are the 2 most public, most credible pre-1989 defection accounts on the larger Active Measures & Dezinformatsiya Campaign waged by the KGB. I'll post the sources in the following Tweets chronologically by defector, though the individual video dates are decades apart.

I have repeatedly stated that all Dezinformatsiya contains a minimum of 20-30% verifiable facts. These facts are strategically weaponized in Dezinformatsiya & used to discredit efforts to counter the Dezinformatsiya campaign. Turning facts into "conspiracy theory" is classic KGB.
A sinister aspect of this fact conspiritization Dezi that is widely accepted by 10's of millions of Americans today is the "occult Illuminati New World Order" crap that has been wrapped around Golitsyn & Bezmenov's accounts since the beginning. This accomplishes 2 critical things
1. It makes the plot look far larger, older & of a different source than it really is, tricking researchers into chasing phantoms & making incorrect connections that distort perceptions of the real campaign. It's not a 250 year old Jewish plot. It was cooked up by Gramsci in 1919
Anti-Semitism has long been used in Soviet & now Russian Dezinformatsiya. The source material used as "evidence" in the "Jewish New World Order" conspiracy as spread in the west is 1903 Russian Czarist Dezi "Protocols of Zion." Total fabrication later weaponized by Lenin's Cheka
So, US researchers are off looking for exciting, sensationalist satanists, occult & secret societies to place blame on, while boring old Communists continue the actual plot unopposed & unexposed.
2. It makes the mostly conservative, anti-Communist researchers trying to blow the whistle on this look like hairy-eyed, masturbating Christian zealot conspiracy theorists preaching about satanic conspiracies when anyone familiar with Communism knows it's always been atheist.
So people like me, an atheist intelligence professional, are easily dismissed as "crazed Christian Evangelocon paranoid conspiracists who see Communists behind every Institution." It also allows the Religious-based researchers to reject what I say simply because I'm an atheist.
The main target of Gramsci's Long March has always been the Church & Christianity. IT was always planned to infiltrate & subvert the Church & it's message to achieve goals of the COMINTERN. As a patriot & vehement anti-Communist, I've researched deeply the Christian subversion.
It's sad that one of the successes of the Ideological Subversion campaign has divided Constitutional Patriots & Defenders based on what Religion they adhere to or whether or not they are an atheist in a Nation BASED on Freedom of Religion & Speech.
So, I'll be posting more on this as I further analyze the source material & work on source attribution. My Russian isn't fluent by any means, but I'm working with fluent, native speakers in America on an independent translation. Currently, I'm most interested in WHO leaked it.
