(1) Matt...huge admirer. Agree on 99.9% of the issues BUT not on drug testing = benefits. I speak from many, many years of personal experience. False dichotomy (happy to try to persuade you too).
(2) Issue should be: Do you participate, or give back to society, in some way as compensation (or at a bare minimum, show appreciation), for what you receive from the goodness of society?
(3) Example: If I went to wo work (which I do, and always have), and I was 'high' (but you weren't aware of it), what/where is the harm?
(4) As long as I don't put anyone in harms way, or hurt anyone, how is it any different from my having taken insulin before I left home?
(5) Otherwise we live in a repressive society as a result of The War on Drugs, which has always been abused AS APPLIED:

(6) My admonition does NOT mean, and should NOT be interpreted as advocating for, complete decriminalization and/or making ALL 'drugs' legal!
(7) All sales to minors PROHIBITED, various drugs (I.e. Meth, Angel-dust), strictly prohibited. Only advocating for TRUE debate on the issue AND no destruction of people's lives for 'non-violent' activities.
(8) The definition of 'non-violent activity,' again, should be openly debated by society as an argument can easily be made that such activities DO cause harm.
(9) In my opinion, society needs to better understand the issue as an underlying 'health' issue NOT as a criminal justice issue. It's too serious for too many people already struggling.
