1) This thread is amazing so far and I have one point to add in support of it. So far, we have 3 competing versions of reality, with liberals and some conservatives believing 2 of them. Only 1 consistently explains all of the facts, however.
2) The first version, we'll call the Beta version. In this version, President Trump is an authoritarian bully, ignoring the advice of his much more reasonable advisers and issuing autocratic, nigh fascist, edicts, and demanding oaths of loyalty from his subordinates.
3) This is the version who is ruthless in his quest to destroy the America that is Obama's legacy, so cunning an operator that he colluded with Russia to steal the presidency and has been selling it piecemeal to rich friends of his.
4) Then we have Delta version, the second version of reality. Here Trump is a weak willed child, wih insane tantrums when he doesn get his way.
5) This is the version who's actions are decided by the most recent person to have his ear. This is the one described in Wolff's book as utterly debased and vulnerable to the 25th amendment.
6) This is also the version the media is currently fixated on. It is the one where the White House is a swirling tempest of chaos wherein anything accomplished is through sheer dumb luck.
7) Finally, there is the third reality, what I will with some prior bias call the Prime reality.
8) The Prime Trump is the one who is executing his agenda in the most optimal way possible, and with an approach in communication and style that political industry veterans are unable to grasp. What usually happens when an industry is rocked by an outsider.
9) It is a Trump who acts in an executive manner like a CEO of a company, delegating projects and responsibilities to those he trusts, and listening to advisers for the decisions he has to make.
10) It is a Trump who's decisions are based on the optimal outcome for his objectives, with changes to those decisions being made in light of new information and circumstances.
11) How do we know which reality is the correct one? We look at one which lines up with the facts the most.
12) First, of major cabinet members, how many have quit? And why? Priebus and Spicer, both of whom quit due to @Scaramucci, whiiiiich makes sense if you believe Scaramucci was a perfectly executed hatchet man.
13) The Prime reality correlates with this the best. Who would remain a cabinet member under an authoritarian monster, or an insane childish twat?
14) Second, Raskin, the muppet Beaker of the Democrats, is drafting legislation to create a body of professionals to judge the president's fitness for office, because the majority of the cabinet will not sign off on a 25th amendment removal.
15) The Prime reality again correlates strongest with this. The people who work closest with Trump believe he is fit for office.
16) You can find plenty of circumstances for this. If you accept unorthodox behavior as part of the Prime Trump reality, which should be expected from someone coming from outside an industry, the strength of the Prime Trump reality increases exponentially.
17) So, one final point. Wolff's book. Which reality fits best in the circumstances around the book? A Prime Trump working with Wolff to permanently discredit and dismantle a hostile press? A childish tantrum-throwing Trump? Or an authoritarian dickbag Trump? /end
