This is really seriously damning on David Davis and the whole government process of negotiating Brexit. Some excerpts...1/x
2 Matches many accounts of the shambolic process of triggering Article 50. Remember that they had nine months to prepare beforehand - and Brexit advocates had decades to prepare plans. 
3 So the real work of the Brexit Secretary is not negotiating Brexit, but servicing Paul Dacre? 
4 If they think it's "stressful" to be running this shambolic process, imagine how it impacts those most affected by it.

12 That was short and sweet. Nothing insulting or stupid but nothing precise either. Basically a) on trade, mutual recognition with (it seems) no minimum standards and b) taking as a given that the UK won't trash labour and environmental standards.
13 Both positions diverge from the EU recent practice and from the Commission's "level playing field" slides, which in part suggest taking that practice further.
