so the avengers might be earth’s mightiest heroes but as a tony stan, i can’t help but notice they really aren’t earth’s mightiest friends. so sit back, relax, and prepare to watch tea being spilled bc i’m done with all the fakes.

Avengers (2012)
• remember cap telling nat to close the portal even if tony was still there? Sure there were a ton of chitauri bots but they managed to kill hundreds of them so i’m sure they could’ve taken out more and waited a bit longer until tony made it out??

Iron Man 3 (2013)
• Remember the only time tony was humble and vulnerable enough to discuss his feelings and open up to someone but the person on the listening side ignored the significance of it all? Can’t believe it but yes, Bruce. I’m talking about you.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

• LET’S MAKE ONE THING CLEAR: Ultron and Sokovia were not Tony’s fault. If anything, it was all on Wanda. If she hadn’t given Tony that vision, he wouldn’t have pushed to create Ultron in the first place.

Nope. What actually tore them apart was Steve deciding to take matters into his own hands when it came to Bucky. Just because you use America as a brand and you have superpowers doesn’t allow you to bend the law as you please. Tony may have acted out impulsively with the accords+

but his choice was based on a fact that the avengers needed to be put in check. Steve however, acted on impulse and lack of regard for everything else besides Bucky. I don’t hate either of them but y’all are trippin if you say that steve isn’t a hypocrite when it comes to Bucky.

• one thing that ticked me off? No one was truly on tony’s side because they believed in him and supported his cause except for rhodey. T’challa was there bc he wanted to kill bucky. Although Vision did too, he was there bc he’s tony’s creation.+

Peter didn’t really know what he was fighting for. And Nat. Nat switched sides from 0-100 real quick. I knew it was bound to happen but still ticked me off at how easy it is for them to betray tony.

• Vision was no different though. Because he was so distracted coddling Wanda, who betrayed him in the first place, he hit the most important person to Tony in his team and didn’t even do anything about it just bc of wanda.

• When Tony visited the avengers in the raft (prison), i found it so funny how they started playing the victim. In truth, they did this to themselves. They knew that joining Cap would be breaking the law but they did it anyway?Willingly, might I add. +

Clint yapping about Tony “breaking their backs” was bullshit. Just a reminder that he was retired and with his family, until HE chose to break the law. He could’ve removed hinself from the situation if he put his family first but nah let’s all blame it on Tony instead.

And Scott Lang joining in the tony stark hate when he actually knows nothing? Didn’t he become ant-man in order to change his ways bc breaking the law WAS what he actually did before? And now just bc clint recruited him, it suddenly doesn’t matter?

And now we have Sam Wilson. Or as I’d like to call Captain America’s “Yes Man”. When Tony admitted to being wrong about Barnes, Sam just had to put salt in Tony’s wound instead of acknowledging it. He doesn’t even know Tony that well to judge him.++

Yet here he is, protecting Cap’s honor just bc he follows the mantra “Steve is always right“.

And to the tony anti’s who say tony was wrong for wanting to kill bucky, well im sorry. If you were in his shoes, would you actually still be able to think straight and separate bucky from the winter soldier after watching a footage of your parents being killed? y’all fucked up

So yes, steve. We all know you love bucky but tony had the right to know that. Stop trying to say Steve was trying to protect Tony bc all he was tryna do was protect himself and Bucky. This is why I can’t bring myself to love mcu stony bc what steve did was way fucked up.

Some conclusions to this thread:
• the avengers really need to learn how to appreciate tony for the WHOLE person that he is, flaws and all, and not just for the things they approve of.

• tony has provided these people a home and i’d just wish these people can appreciate that +

• tony really needs to stick to the people that deserve him. (i.e. rhodey, happy, peter, pepper) AND I KNOW THAT Y’ALL HAVE A LOT TO SAY ABOUT PEPPER BC I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AT HOW SHE DISMISSED TONY IN IRON MAN 3, BUT A PART OF ME UNDERSTOOD WHERE SHE WAS COMING FROM+

I WISH PEPPER TRIED TO UNDERSTAND TONY MORE BUT I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT SHE GENUINELY LOVES AND CARES FOR HIM. AND NO MATTER WHAT Y’ALL SAY I TRULY BELIEVE THAT SHE MAKES TONY GENUINELY HAPPY TOO. LIKE PEPPER HAS HER FLAWS BUT I’M SURE SHE LOVES TONY.

And two final conclusions for this thread:

• I hope that the avengers can acknowlege tony’s achievements and good deeds as much as they criticize him and blame him for different things. he may be flawed, but the avengers would be more than incomplete without him.

• I hope that the avengers finally give tony the treatment he deserves. Them telling him “you did good” or even a simple “thank you” bc if he DOES end up sacrificing himself in infinity war for them, i would want tony to know that he was loved by his friends as he loved them.
