Morning. We’re monitoring an attack currently underway on France’s Embassy and other locations in #Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Faso’s National Police's Facebook, an “armed attack” is currently happening in the country’s capital against the France Embassy and the General Command of the country’s Army. 
The Embassy confirmed it through its Facebook account.
“Attack in progress at the French Embassy and the French Institute. Stay confined where you are,” says the post from the Embassy.
The French ambassador also confirmed the attack on Twitter:
“Attack in progress in Ouagadougou. Precautions absolute caution to all compatriots to stay in a safe place.”
Local press is talking about "multiple attacks" that includes different parts of the city, including the Prime Minister office and the United Nations roundabout in #Ouagadougou.

"Attack in Ouagadougou, the Prime Ministry has not been touched! No victims, no impact," posted the office of Burkina Faso's Prime Minister.
The French Embassy in #BurkinaFaso has modified its message posted earlier on Facebook and says that there is "no certainty on the target places."

The situation is "under control" at the French embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated to the @bbcafrique. Earlier, the ministry encouraged its nationals in #Ouagadougou to "stay confined"
