2/ @DavidCornDC/@Isikoff: Agalarov declared the 2013 Letter of Intent dead only after DoS squashed Trump's plan to drop sanctions on Sberbank (among others) which was slated to finance that Trump Tower Moscow deal. Aras was *very* clear the deal only died after Trump was elected.
3/ This is key, @DavidCornDC/@Isikoff, as Aras Agalarov's announcement in February 2017 confirms that he and Trump and Sberbank would all have gone through the entirety of the 2016 presidential election with the expectation the 2013 LoI was active and could still lead to a Tower.
4/ The only reason we (@DavidCornDC, @Isikoff, or anyone) might briefly credit Ivanka on this is we know Trump sought another LoI in Fall 2015 with different developers. But c'mon, guys: this is real estate. In Moscow. Trump did *not* have to invalidate one LoI to pursue another.
5/ So whatever *we* think, what *Agalarov* believed is clear—"The tower is NOW irrelevant, BECAUSE Trump is NOW unable to do any business [as POTUS]" (emphasis added). So Ivanka can say whatever self-serving tosh she likes—Trump's business partner disagrees. @DavidCornDC @Isikoff
