Skripal, a former Russian military intelligence officer sold out his country. He began working for the United Kingdom's MI6 in 1995 and passed on state secrets, such as the identities of Russian Intelligence agents.

This would be considered a serious crime by any country.

I think there is something very strange about the Skripal affair
Dec 2004, he was arrested by Russia′s Federal Security Service (FSB) and later tried, convicted of high treason, imprisoned, and given a 13 year sentence.
But in 2010 he was pardoned and released in a spy exchange🤨

Think about it. He (a Russian) was one of 3 spies released by Russia, in exchange for 10 Russian spies held by US in 2010 - and his release was at the insistence if the UK govt.

Why did the UK insist on his release. He was in jail since 2010.

One would think that along with being put in jail, the Russians would take any assets from a man convicted of treason.

Yet, when went to England - in 2011 was able to buy a modern red brick house for £260,000 in Salisbury in 2011 👉🏼 without a mortgage, and drove a BMW

There is no indication that Skripal had a job. Its hardly likely that the Russians gave him a pension. So where did the money come from to buy a £260,000 modern house, own a BMW, travel, and live a comfortable life?

Why did Skripal choose to live his comfortable life in Salisbury?

Is it because Salisbury is only 9.4 km to Porton Down - the UK’s infamous nerve gas facility?

And he gets attacked with a nerve gas. What a coincidence.

So Skripal and his daughter get attacked by a nerve agent in a town less that 10 km from the Porton Down UK nerve agent research centre (infamous for using humans as guinea pigs)

Skripal was a double agent who wound up in prison in Russia for treason 2004-2010. He apparently sold out the IDs of Russian spies abroad, and who knows what else.

One would think any of his residual allies would be against the Russian establishment, that he had betrayed

My 👉🏼theory👈🏼 is that Skripal was still acting as a spy for Russia, and he chose Salisbury due to the close proximity to Porton Down research facility.

My theory is MI6 was monitoring him, and his daughter (as a possible courier)

My theory is that this was punishment by M16

My theory is that it was expected that Skripal and his daughter would be killed, and the nature of the attack a sign to Russia to stay clear of Porton Down.

I don’t think they expected so many others would be affected

I don’t think the Russians did it, because

i. unlike the paranoid anti-Russian war mongering neocons, I don’t think Russia wants another world war

ii. such an act would be bound to add to the neocon push for anti-Russian sentiment.

iii. it plays to May’s neocon war-mongering

I don’t think the Skripal attack has anything to do with the Steele dossier (even if he was emplyed by Steele or Orbis - which is pure speculation) because his contacts would have almost certainly have been anti-Putin.

The Steele dossier isn’t just anti-Trump, its anti-Russia

Anyone with half a grey cell could have predicted that attacking Skripal with a nerve agent was bound to be used as another propaganda ploy to try to establish Putin as a bogeyman, and help drive anti-Russian Russiagate narrative

Only war mongering neocons were likely to benefit

Its fair to angry about a foreign country spying on ones special facilities for weapons of mass destruction

If Skripal (a known 2 timing spy) was found to be passing on info related to Porton Down to Russia or anywhere else, I wouldn’t be surprised at attempted assassination

However spying on the competitors weapons is one of the things spies do

If proven, it is justification for severe criticism - but not a justifiable call for WWIV

In any event, if Skripal was spying on Porton Down, it may not have been for Russia.
