1. Rick Gates is at the center of the Mueller investigation. Sean Hannity has not substantively mentioned him since October 30. This is a tell. mediamatters.org/blog/2018/03/3… 
2. What you need to know about Gates: A longtime Manafort deputy, was a key player on the Trump campaign, transition, and early days of the presidency. He saw a lot of stuff, and now he's cooperating with Mueller. The Trump camp is terrified of what he might say.
3. This week brought reports that he was in regular contact with a former Russian military intelligence officer in the final weeks of the election, and that Mueller wanted him to cooperate to shed light on contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia.
4. What you need to know about Hannity: He's a loyal Trump shill whose show has been dedicated to downplaying and stopping the Mueller investigation.
5. Hannity has been virtually silent on Gates (one passing mention on his Fox show on Feb. 20 since the initial indictment, which was before Gates' plea). This is extremely unusual.
6. Hannity almost always responds to new Mueller revelations immediately, and has produced pro-Trump counter-narratives about the indictments/pleas of Manafort, Flynn, Papadopoulos, van der Zwann, and the Russians. But nothing on Gates.
7. Hannity is a propagandist, but because of that, he likely has insight into the Trump team’s Mueller strategy. He advises Trump and regularly hosts his lawyer, WH aides, and GOP reps to denounce the Mueller probe. If anyone knows how they plan to stop Mueller, it's him.
8. And he's silent on Gates. He has made no effort to either indict Gates’ character and try to destroy his credibility, or to paint him as a victim and set the stage for a possible pardon.
9. Hannity could be out of the loop, or planning something in the future, or not realize how damaging Gates could be. Or he knows this could be bad, and has no idea how to respond. Keep an eye on this one, folks. #fin
