Determined to follow-up and file an official complaint today. What happened yesterday in court was not right.

Just submitted the first complaint. Need to take a break before submitting 2 more complaints. Putting everything in writing is emotionally exhausting. 😞

I doubt anything can be done to fix what happened to me in court but I hope this will help the department become less dismissive of individuals like me who take a great risk to report stalking and harassment.

Compiling evidence of nearly 8 years of stalking and harassment is emotionally and physically exhausting.

Wondering how long it will take to receive information about the investigation. I need some “closure” although this will never be over. 😞

I don’t regret submitting complaints over a week ago but I doubt I’ll be contacted by a detective. 😞

I've never felt so demoralized. I regret not speaking up for myself and my daughter in court. Now, it's too late. :-(

The worst part of this entire situation is that I blame myself for allowing the harassment citation to be withdrawn. It should’ve gone to a hearing. Even though the officers made errors, I feel like I should’ve done more to protect my daughter and myself. 😞

Still thinking about what happened. It took me almost 8 years to find the courage to file the first of three police reports about the stalking & harassment. I asked for help but my fears were dismissed. Then, the citation was withdrawn due to officers' errors. Very demoralizing.

While I still feel demoralized about what happened in court, I am grateful I had the courage to report the harassment & file the complaint with the police department.

I recently received a letter from the police department with a summary of the internal investigation: “We have found that departmental performance standards were not met, and corrective measures have since been taken.”

Wrote a follow-up letter to police department after receiving the letter with a summary of internal investigation. Would’ve appreciated an apology, too. Was I expecting too much?

I reported a stalker to the police several times.

This story is frightening.
