3. I don't yet know what this "new line of inquiry" is, but it must be a doozy. Many suspect that it involves Rudolph Contreras, the FISC judge in the Flynn case. That conjecture fits nicely due to the wording of the DOJ response letter. An "individual,...risk to human life."

There is yet another possibility. The individual pursued by Nunes could be Alexander Downer. We know his name now but it wasn’t supposed to be released publicly. If DOJ were to release it, that could violate an agreement which could limit future cooperation.
