I want to talk about this idea of who's to blame for the "rise" of racism and neo-nazis.
First, racism wasn't lower 10 years ago than it is today. I can't understand where that perception came from. Maybe the only difference is now it's on some previously undisturbed people's radar, and they've got all the hot takes on it.
I'll focus on the last few years only. Trump came on the scene and made explicit what many before him previously coded. Suddenly far-right groups came out and stated that finally they have a candidate that gets them.
At the same time, mainstream conservatives started to embrace things that were being pushed to the fringes. The genetic intellectual inferiority of black people once again became a topic being pushed by those seen as mainstream.
The liberal and even progressive groups also took a minute to tell minorities that they needed to stop talking about racism so much and they needed to hear white supremacists out.
Now the conversation is shifting to the very idea that calling out racist views creates more racists. So the only acceptable way in the eyes of some like Bari Weiss is for us to simply be silent as the right wing embrace and promote ridiculously racist ideas.
We have people saying even identifying things that affect "black" people is us driving the division because we're the ones bringing up race. Fun fact: you can't talk about racism without bringing up race. It's impossible.
So now we see minorities and their allies being blamed for the racists being more open in their racism. It's not like we all told you this was happening years ago, and people telling us we were just overreacting.
So the same people who told us racism was over, despite what we experienced, are now telling us that racism is our fault because they can see some. They simultaneously tell us that it's not really racism, but just us being soft.

They deny the racism while blaming us for is rise.
So to conclude, minorities aren't responsible for the existence or perceived increase in racism. Maybe those saying we are need to show us their resume of fighting against racism. Otherwise, I recommend they take several seats.
