Update on "our Ken" - the ex Met Police officer who sent a threatening letter, placed rubbish in the garden, then escalated to spray painting the property and wielding a knife. His complaint? Having anti Brexit stickers on my dustbing
To avoid going to court (His son works for Kent #Police and Ken is a football coach for young people), Ken finally paid £3000 for the restoration of the property (some 75% of the sum requested). It becomes clear that #Brexit doesn't pay.
Ken's main complaint (apart from the fact that I don't accept his form of democracy and that "I lost") was his claim that my anti-Brexit stickers were lowering property values in the area. I have not been able to verify the matter, nonetheless ...

Thread: 1/3 Don't be distracted by the usual Tory "scandal of the day". The privileges committee has issued an “all persons broadcast” calling for anyone who has any info on Johnson to come forward. All respondents will be treated in the strictest confidence.
2/3: This is the chance, for anyone in No 10, or elsewhere, to come forward without fearing threats from Johnson or the cabinet secretary for speaking out. This is your chance to report all the times Boris has lied to MPs, the police, and the country. A chance to do your duty.
3/3 Send this link to your MP, send it to local journalists, share this far and wide, and don't let them get away with another cover-up. Deadline for submissions is 29 July 2022. #JohnsonOut158 #JohnsonTheCorruptPM #ToriesPartiedWhilePeopleDied

🧵With (some) Tory MPs finally acting against their corrupt sham of a PM*, it would be great to see current and former politicians of all allegiances joining @99Organisation.

❓Why?

(1/)
🏘️Many politicians want to improve their communities
🧒& invest wisely in the future so today's children have a better life
💷& end mass impoverishment

😡Our increasingly polarising, vitriolic & corrupt Cabinet is good for almost no-one.

🚨It's very bad for 99% of us.

(2/)
👩‍⚖️Johnson is the first serving PM to be found guilty of a criminal offence
🗑️He won't resign
🪧Our democratic rights are vanishing
🥣Most of us are getting poorer (largely due to Brexit & Govt bungling, compounded by COVID & war in Ukraine)
🪙 While Govt friends get richer

Johnson thread…

In February I discussed what I thought Johnson would do after #Partygate came to light. I said we were reaching a very turbulent time in politics,

I predicted that the man would never resign. I was right. Even when he received the FPN i said…1/
He still wouldn’t resign. I wish I was wrong but I wasn’t.

The other thing I said was he would change the laws that would mean he didn’t have to go. Again I was right.
#MinisterialCode

My other prediction has me more scared than ever. I said a desperate man…. 2/
Would do desperate things to cling to power. So letters are going in to the 1922 committee. He’s going to get more desperate, he will promise his back benchers the world to keep favour example #ImperialMeasurements and lots of other small but damaging things for the Uk….. 3/

@RoyalFamily.
Your Majesty.
In 1975 you decided, in your role as head of state, to dismiss a sitting Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam, the then PM of Australia. This was around the failure to pass Supply Bills through parliament and not law breaking or any sort or misconduct.
2/5
Can I ask that you use these same powers to dismiss a corrupt British Prime Minister who refuses to follow the convention of resigning when found to have lied to the @HouseofCommons and brought disrepute onto his office as your First Minister
3/5
Our mainly uncodified democracy relies on these conventions. It also relies on you, your Majesty, using your constitutional powers to remove a PM who has been found, by the police and the civil service, to be unfit to serve you. I can think of no finer way of showing

I’d love to say I find this amusing. But in truth, I’m heartbroken.

I am heartbroken because I watched peoples loved ones die while they partied.

🧵 1/7
I am heartbroken because healthcare workers - including myself - risked their own lives to care for those Covid positive while they partied.

2/7
I am heartbroken because the conservatives made “extensive use” of emergency procurement contracts and misused £9BN pounds of taxpayers money to pay their mates for unsafe and unusable PPE, leaving healthcare workers exposed to a deadly virus.

I need to write this and it may be unpopular. #JohnsonTheCorruptPM thinks heads will roll over the #ARTHUR case. Right I know several social workers and teachers and police officers. Funding has been cut so much by the #ToryCriminalsUnfitToGovern that workloads are stretched ….
They are working above snd beyond and have been doing so before covid, then put staff sickness into the mix and you have people doing the work of 5 or more people. Long hours unpaid overtime. Yes we need to know what went wrong. So let’s look at the why too. Funding cuts!!!
Plain and simple when you stretch recourses things will go wrong. So let’s put the blame on those at the top, those in government who want people to work 18 hr days for a pittance the blame lies also with them. #JohnsonOut

Johnson's legacy of pursuing a mass infection policy.

One fact will dismantle the Johnson Government’s entire defence at the Covid Inquiry and harm them irreparably at the General Election…

[#JohnsonOut #JohnsonTheCorruptPM #YourNHSNeedsYou]
The PM embarked on ‘freedom day’ without making provision to treat the inevitable increase in severely unwell cases. Just pause for a moment and consider that…
The UK has less inpatient capacity than before the pandemic. Freedom day has led to so much Covid Pneumonia it has TRIPLED the healthcare burden from 'normal' pneumonia - one of the highest burden diseases in the UK - and still the capacity of the NHS is less.

Without apparently noticing the irony, #JohnsonthecorruptPM claims that the Conservatives are the party of law and order...
(2/4)

... what he means is that he is making sure that there is one law for the party and quite another for us ...

... where he and his donors can plunder the UK without interference from the courts or anyone else.
