The @G7 represents Canada’s strongest allies and closest friends. And over the past few days, we’ve made real progress for the people who call our countries home – and for people around the world. We focused on affordability, climate change, good jobs, and support for Ukraine.
To continue supporting Ukraine, Canada announced funding that will help the Ukrainian government meet its urgent liquidity needs. We’ll also provide more humanitarian, development, and peace and security support. This will include agricultural solutions, like grain storage units.
We’ll also keep working with our partners and tackling other global issues – like food insecurity and climate change – together. Canada will continue to be at the forefront of efforts to keep our air clean, to create good jobs, and to build a better future for everyone.

Avec nos partenaires, on va continuer d’aborder d’autres enjeux mondiaux, comme l’insécurité alimentaire et le climat, ensemble. Le Canada restera au premier plan des efforts visant à protéger notre air, à créer de bons emplois et à bâtir un avenir meilleur pour tout le monde.

We agreed in Elmau to establish the #ClimateClub by the end of the year. Our goal is to bring together the various political approaches. #ClimateProtection should become a competitive advantage so that more and more countries want to join.
We must not only look at the world as it is now, but also at the world as it will be in the future. Here, countries of the Global South will gain in importance. That is why it was important to me that their voices were represented at this #G7 Summit.
