Time for a thread on Corbyn’s top advisors and their long-held, fervent Euroscepticism. Never forget about these shady figures: Seumas Milne and Andrew Murray. 1/ 
After the referendum result, leaks revealed Milne had watered down Labour’s pro-Remain position. Milne directly altered Corbyn’s speeches to make them less pro-EU; even refused to sign off a pro-EU letter by 200 MPs after it had already been approved. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi… 2/

In another op-ed, Milne claims that EU action in Ukraine “is on another scale” from Russian actions in the East (i.e. invasion!!). Clearly a man who despises the EU so much, he’d rather support the Russians theguardian.com/commentisfree/… 6/
Milne’s lack of European values dates back some time. In 2001, he engaged in apologetics for Serbian war criminal Slobodan Milosevic – the butcher of Belgrade – and suggested he be tried in Belgrade instead. theguardian.com/politics/2001/… 7/

Lastly, he blamed the EU for unnecessary confrontation with Iran, even though the EU has been a moderator of US aggression towards Iran

In a discussion w far-left news site Counterfire, Murray compared the EU to fascism. He said that, like then, democratic states were being dismantled in the interests of financial capitalism. He even compared the EU to the Vichy regime in France
Like Milne, Murray has some warped views on EU regarding Russia and Ukraine. He wrote a book titled ‘The Empire and Ukraine’ which pins the blame for the Ukraine crisis on the actions of NATO and the European Union, which he characterises as extensions of global imperialism 12/
Murray also insisted in 2014 that the EU should grant Crimea self-determination, despite its referendum not being internationally recognised and massive Russian intimidation tactics 13/
Murray’s support for the Red Army, North Korea, and his defence of Iran clearly shows his contempt for the basic principles of the EU Charter on Fundamental Rights (also note that laughable claim abt Iran) 14/
Be EXTREMELY weary of LAB position on EU. Pro-EU sounds coming out of LOTO office are political games, opposition politics, their plans i.e. single market access are impossible. Never forget who are key forces in Corbyn’s office: Milne and Murray, Eurosceptics thru and thru /END
