Sen. Richard Burr, chairman of the Intelligence Committee, says the committee has invited former FBI director James Comey and former deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe to testify in likely an open hearing as part of the Russia probe.
Burr said that to his knowledge, neither McCabe nor Comey has responded to the committee’s letters yet.
Burr says “lots happened” since the committee had Comey in for a public hearing last year. “I mean, Inspector General has a lot of that."
More Burr: "There's nobody that we've had in open session that we haven't privately interviewed."
