STATEMENT: The Minister of @FMPWH wishes to notify commuters and the general public of a bridge collapse at Maraban Gassol in Taraba State, which occurred in the evening of Wed 20th June, 2018 after heavy downpour. The bridge links Jalingo & Wukari and further into Benue State.

 Minister @tundefashola has directed the Federal contractor on that axis to mobilize immediately to site and commence emergency remedial works by Thursday 21st June, 2018 in order to normalize the flow of traffic.

Motorists are advised to use the alternate route through Jalingo - Garba Cheda - Bali - Takum - Katsina Ala.

 The Corps Marshal, @FRSCNigeria Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has deployed Road Marshals from Mutum Biyu Unit Command to divert, control & ease traffic on that route.

Motorists & the general public will be kept informed of further developments on the route.

Welp. I see the Brian Rosenwald/Maxine Waters incident has now hit @myHNN.

I am proud that a young grad student like @DerekLitvak had the courage to speaking up about what seems to be a pattern of disrespect.

I'm a big girl, I'm fine, but again - I jumped in after becoming (1)
increasingly concerned about the tone Rosenwald was taking with a WOC (PhD historian of slavery/race) in that thread. Apparently that cannot be seen by the general public bc her account is private, but let me just state:

Rosenwald's behavior was rude and extremely (2)
condescending. And his tone with a graduate student of color, @DerekLitvak, was also far from professional - or even compassionate.

Both @DerekLitvak & the WOC scholar deserve better.

Hopefully Rosenwald will be ashamed enough to at least begin acting more professionally. SMH.
