I am 3/4 through a 20-hour layover at Incheon, and have been enjoying my time here, living as a native and venturing forth from my base of operations in the west transit hotel. My observations thus far:
• Retail all closes at 9:30pm, although flight arrivals continue until about 2am.
• Gong Cha's boba earl gray less/less ACTUALLY IS less/less, and is substantially better-than-average.

• Neither of the large electronics shops carried USB A-C cables, nor any chargers which tested out higher than 11W. A tiny hole-in-the-wall hangul-only bookstore, however, had both.
• One of the moving sidewalks was open for maintenance, and you could have eaten off of any of the surfaces.
• Line Friends stuffies come in sizes up to a truly terrifying 3.5M, a size which could conceal a whole sleeper-cell of furries, Trojan-horse style.

• In what is essentially one long hallway, people nose-down in their phones texting while meandering aimlessly make it very difficult to make progress through the terminal. It makes for stop-and-go pedestrian traffic, which is ridiculous.
• Also, late at night, when the terminal is basically empty, there are a surprising number of people wandering around in hospital gowns. Sort of like pajamas, but rocking the unique Korean international airport style.
• Thirty years on, T-shirts featuring ridiculous slogans in English have apparently not lost their appeal.
