This is patently false & only something who is comfortable would have the gall to say.

Wages are NOT a "back burner" issue.

If these people ever left their enclaves and talked to everyday people around the country, they'd know.

I know, because I just did.

Over the past couple months, I traveled the country interviewing people for a series of short films on labor in America.

I interviewed random people—complete strangers—about their work lives.

EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. said wages are too low and it scares them.

EVERY ONE!
And these people cut across all swaths and I interviewed dozens of people all over the country.

Urban. Rural. Rust Belt. Big city.

White collar. Blue Collar. Business owner. Unemployed.

So either I somehow ONLY found people who felt this way, or it's a common issue.

Hmm...
So when these people write off conversations about working conditions in America—ESPECIALLY at one of the biggest companies in the world—as a "back burner" issue, understand that those voices, while sometimes the loudest, are the most out of touch.
