1. Yesterday, US SOF began to evacuate American ISIS detainees from YPG camps in Northern Syria. Among the Americans who are now on their way back to the USA is Samantha Elhassani, whose son was forced to appear in an ISIS video last year. bild.de/bild-plus/poli…
2. Samantha Elhassani gave a CNN-interview some months ago, where she claimed that she blindly followed her husband Moussa to Raqqa, taking with them their son Matthew and another child. Two other kids were born in the Caliphate. 
3. Matthew was forced to appear in an ISIS propaganda video one year ago in Raqqa, threatening the US and Donald Trump. While Moussa was killed during fighting, Samantha and the kids were evacuated from Raqqa and eventually were captured by the YPG.
4. Unlike European countries, the US is taking responsibility for their citizens here. Two months ago, I reported about YPG releasing ISIS prisoners (Belgium intel agency VSSE cited financial reasons for this move).
5. The American ISIS detainees including Samantha Elhassani apparently didn’t know they were being brought to the US, security source at the camp told me. When US SOF arrived, they ordered them to pack their staff, then entered the vehicles and drove off.
