WOW. AIQ posted ads for Vote Leave right after Jo Cox's murder, when both sides agreed to stop campaigning 16-19 June.

Not for Vote Leave.

These ads were *designed* to run from 17-23 June. One reached up to half a million.

UPDATE: @shahmiruk has just posted a conversation btwn AIQ's Massingham & Darren Grimes saying campaign ads would come back online at 10pm the day after Jo Cox's murder.

PS: BeLeave started an ad set on 17 June too. It got up to *12.8 million impressions*.

This picture 👇was seen up to 12 million times.

In total :

The Vote Leave & BeLeave ads that started while the campaign was suspended were seen up to *27.2 million* times.

Vote Leave director Dominic Cummings has blogged on the VL ads.

And there's at least one thing that seems potentially misleading here: 'the VL ads ... are clearly labelled as VL.'

He misses out that four out of ten ads for 50millionUK, made for Vote Leave to harvest emails & voting prefs for targeting, *weren't labelled Vote Leave*.

These were posted via a page called 50millionUK.

So nowhere does it say Vote Leave. Not the pic, page title, or text.
So, put another way, VL ads may have had a title and accompanying text w references to them.

But four out of ten 50millionUK ads made for VL apparently didn't. VL wasn't even on the 50millionUK website splash.

Cummings has left this out of his blog. Why?

Some insight here, though I want to make sure that this report doesn't show the posting addresses as they were in 2016 (which is kind of unhelpful, on FB's part) :

So BeLeave's page was changed to BrexitCentral, but then possibly the current BrexitCentral page was created in August, alongside it? Why was this so complicated?

Does this look like political advertising to you?

The vote swung from Remain to Leave on the last day. Why did they spend hundreds of thousands on these if they didn't work?

Dominic Cummings described this campaign as an exercise in data harvesting. Emails, voting preferences -- apparently so that they'd know how best to target people for persuasion.

How is anyone to know that from the ads above, appearing on their FB?

To my mind this despondency on the Right stems from a tendency to view the political arena as a "Kurukshetra" - a war between Dharma (BJP) and Adharma (everybody else)

I find this tendency problematic
Politics is not about one side being "righteous" and the other side being evil.

One side being a paragon of virtue, and the other side representing vice

Politics represents a platform for debating different views that exist on how society should be run
In this debate, you will have more than view. And more than one political party. And power will shift hands in a democracy, as public opinion is not set in stone

That is but natural in a free country that is comfortable with the diversity of opinions thrown up by human nature

One year ago, @Reince tweeted that the GOP had “a revolutionary data program” resulting in them “carrying WI for first time in 30 years.”

Attached was this article that said these “Data Operations” helped Trump win WI & will used for the 2018 midterms.

Trump won* WI by just 22,748 votes.

200,000+ in WI were unable to vote in 2016.

Along with MI & PA, WI was one of the 3 swing states that gave* the EC to Trump by a scant 78,652 votes.

All 3 States were among the 39 states reported as hacked by Russia.

Exit polls are a scientifically proven litmus test. In 2016, they were off by as high as 10%

Anything above ~2.5% indicates suspect anomalies. It triggers other countries to nullify elections.

In the swing states of MI, PA, & WI—all were all above 3%.
