So what's the shortest time frame you could go from DNA to suspect using genetic genealogy? From what I know of the entire process, could get compressed to 1 week. That would change everything, wouldn't it?
What about pre-crime? As soon as we get a GWAS of 1 million criminals, maybe we can just make a genetic prediction. Perhaps those people with high crime polygenic scores would mandatorily submit buccal swabs to a "LIKELY CRIMINAL" database, speeding up later identification.
New rape case is also the first solved with genetic genealogy that did not involve a murder. So it's being used for lesser, though still violent crime. Where do we go from here? /end
