When we say "Abolish ICE" we are playing right into their hands. They were LAUGHING at me about it.
I know it feels good to "take a stand" but in this case there is a real cost to irresponsibly sloganeering.

Think it through. We aren't really saying we want the functions of ICE to go away. We're protesting the way ICE operates currently. It needs to be reformed. Maybe restructured. So let's say THAT.

Running around chanting Abolish ICE gives them exactly what they need to push their scare tactics and charges that Democrats want "open borders"
Something specific they plan to say is "MS-13 vs ICE" - Which side are you on?

Russia is now pushing "Abolish ICE" to DISCREDIT DEMOCRATS. We play right into their hands when prominent Democrats like Gillibrand & Alexandra OC say it too.
This has to stop. Because if this keeps up, we're going to lose the midterms.
