... It is clarified that, UIDAI has not asked or communicated to any manufacturer or service provider for providing any such facility whatsoever. 2/n
It is emphasised that the said 18003001947 is not a valid UIDAI Toll free number and some vested interest are trying to create unwarranted confusion in the public. 3/n
Our valid Toll free number is 1947 which is functional for more than the last two years. 4/5
UIDAI has reiterated that it has not asked or advised anyone including any telecom service providers or mobile manufacturers or Android to include 18003001947 or 1947 in the default list of public service numbers.

The news report tries to create unnecessary panic among mobile users by claiming that “they stare a prospect of disconnection if SIM cards procured on the basis of Aadhaar verification are not backed up by a fresh identification”. 2/n
The joint statement clarifies that the Hon’ble Supreme Court in its judgement in Aadhaar case has nowhere directed that the mobile number which has been issued through Aadhaar eKYC has to be disconnected. 3/n

UIDAI hereby dismisses a news report appearing in social and online media about Aadhaar Enrolment Software being allegedly hacked as completely incorrect and irresponsible. 1/n
The claims lack substance and are baseless. UIDAI further said that certain vested interests are deliberately trying to create confusion in the minds of people which is completely unwarranted. 2/n
Claims made in the report about Aadhaar being vulnerable to tampering leading to ghost entries in Aadhaar database by purportedly bypassing operators’ biometric authentication to generate multiple Aadhaar cards is totally baseless. 3/n

In April 2018, the Union I&B Ministry floated a tender to contract an agency to monitor social media posts of citizens, including their "emails" and "historical communications", to gauge their opinions about government policies, and create "360-degree view of people." (2/n)

Okay, so looks like nobody is being entirely honest about the #UIDAIMystery. Not the Government, Not @UIDAI, not @GoogleIndia, not phone manufacturers either.
The handset makers say every device on startup connects to the net and downloads a set of Emergency numbers for that country
In that case
1. Can your device just connect to the net and download any contact?
2. On what basis did they decide it's just two for India, 112 & #UIDAI?
Most users reported seeing this number in their Phone contacts, not SIM or Google synced contacts. This doesn't appear to be much of a SIM issue. I ported recently and the new SIM has their own set of default numbers, no #UIDAI, though some are reported to include it officially.

In her opening remarks, Sen. Feinstein mentions last night's news that Cambridge Analytica had access to Facebook users' private direct messages.
I hope someone asks Zuckerberg how Facebook can claim they didn't know Cambridge Analytica was still using data they harvested, given that FB sent employees to "embed" w/ the Trump campaign's digital team — so FB employees were working in the same office as Cambridge Analytica.

Minor correction in the second half, as I tweeted earlier, the iPhone 8 may be limited on the 4x4 MIMO antennas due to the patent feud…
…and also Apple wants to dual-source their radios regardless of the patent feud, and Intel’s LTE speeds aren’t as fast as Qualcomm’s yet.
So, and here’s the part that annoys me, they sell both variants (QCOM & Intel) of iPhone in the market and artificially limit the speeds…
