The guy behind us at this @NWSL game has no idea how this game works, but is explaining soccer to his family with a brand of confidence that would make @Ibra_official seem modest.
Among other tidbits I'm picking up: penalty kicks are awarded for "really bad fouls."
Offside is when you kick the ball toward the goal before passing it a requisite number of times.
Red cards can be given for any foul the referee deems "very bad." "Very bad" fouls are a big thing with this guy.
He says he used to referee in college.
The @ReignFC just scored. "What you want to do there," he says. "Is keep them from doing that." @BrianDunseth and @CarlitaS07, this guy is coming for your jobs.
He's not happy that the coaches "aren't using their subs more often." In this heat, he says, the starting players could really use a break.
I'm starting to think he is just punking his family (and me for that matter.) Nobody is this stupid. Well played?
