4/ Trump stalks a race. Waits to the right moment. Targets the perfect location to energize the key area. Uses Twitter to announce the date. Then like a lion he pounces.
5/ Using the data they’ve been measuring the state of the race. They’ve been testing to see just how big a swing they can cause. Then Trump holds his rally and they measure the swing. At this point they know exactly what affect a Trump appearance can have.
6/ Why does it matter and how will they use this in November. Well to understand that you have to remember what Trump pulled of in November 2016. He held 14 rallies in 3 days in MI, NH, PA, NC, FL, VA, MN, IA, CO & NV. He won 5/10. Made some very close. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_r…
7/ But this is 2018. Trump is in charge, runs the RNC. No Republican running is in open revolt. Trump has the highest party approval ever, an economy humming at 3%+, low unemployment and a booming stock market. He’s had time to perfect the strategy. That turns 5/10 into 8/9.
8/ So beyond the strategy and operational advantage the Republicans have a huge policy/message advantage. They have more accomplishments to sell and more outcomes at stake than the Democrats. “Resist” is destined to fail.
9/ And, yes, they know they are defying history. They know it’s an uphill climb. They realize they are being asked to climb Everest but they are confident. Why? Because they’re prepared. They have a plan.
10/ What’s the plan? Pick 15 seats across the country where the race is tight and Democrats hold a narrow advantage. Pinpoint a perfect location for a Trump rally. Energize the Trump base to turn out. Snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Simple really. If you have Trump. /end
