An ICE attorney forged a document to secure the deportation of a Mexican immigrant. The fake document was dated January 2000 and referenced the “U.S. Department of Homeland Security"

The problem? DHS didn't exist in 2000.

Because of this forged document, the immigrant spent years fighting an illegal deportation order so he could stay in the US with his family.

When caught, the ICE lawyer received just 30 days in prison.

In less than 8 years, this ICE attorney—who, again, forged a document to secure the illegal deportation of a Mexican immigrant—will be allowed to practice law again.

The good news: His victim has been permitted by the 9th Circuit to file suit against him.
