At some point we need to have a discussion of what we do if our institutions, government, and hopes continue to fail us.

I don't know when that is, but I know not planning for a worst case scenario is usually the surest way of having it land in your lap.

Trump's confidence, Bannon's reappearance, and Trump's cockiness about Russia, are b/c the fix is already in? I mean he said a "red wave" is coming. What if the red is Russia?

Mueller can't get it done, or we can't find juries courageous enough to convict?

What if...

Trump does fire them all, revokes clearance on all of his enemies and continues firing anyone charged with carrying on the investigation?

These are actually important questions. Serious ones.

We have been playing it by ear in a big way up till now.

Everytime a thread like this asks people to consider that things might not be ok people pounce. There are serious people, @sarahkendzior for one, who, think it's entirely possible that this doesn't end well.

But what do we do if that happens?

What does that even look like?

I have been asking these questions since day three of this nightmare.

What will it mean to resist a force that has removed the usual mechanisms for resistance, or rendered them useless?

What is the first thing each American should do in response to a catastrophic failure?

Because so far, honestly, we have been losing a lot more than we have been winning. We have also placed all of our faith in a man and investigation that we know precious little about.

What if our assumptions about this investigation are completely wrong?

It seems practical that we have these discussions.

I'm seeing Bannon everywhere again. Trump and Putin actually took their love affair public. An armed gang of Trump supporters terrorized Portland a couple weeks ago. Trump is stripping this and wants to fire that.

I mean as bad goes, it's getting close to fucking terrible. Only fucking terrible is kind of the new normal so I'm not sure if anyone, or, at least, enough are noticing.

A farmer on TV said he's ok w/ losing his farm for Trump's tarriffs if that helps America in the long run.

And a second woman came this close to echoing the same sentiment.

I mean these people are not normally willing to pay 1% more in taxes to help their own children's schools but for Trump?

Does that not terrify anyone else?

If you don't think that @HillaryClinton or the people around her, many of whom were brilliant & socially conscious POC, didn't know of or understand the data you're referencing then you know nothing of HRC.

Not understanding your point. You expect that Clinton would come out on the losing end of such a comparison?

I totally disagree.

I've listened to @HillaryClinton speak passionately about race for three decades.

Race and racism were a central focus of her 2016 campaign.

She didn't speak about it just every once in awhile @amikegreen, she spoke about it every single day of the campaign.

In fact, race and criminal justice was the topic of her first policy paper for the campaign, which she presented in April 2015.

Marketing #fail of the month: I visited the big @TMobile store in Burbank, CA - planning on getting the new @oneplus 6T, but the @petelau2007 @JohnLegere love-fest is going to go sour very shortly, if my experience was any indicator.
Staff not only had zero product knowledge of the phone, but clearly didn't even care. I casually asked what the phone specs were (storage, camera), and the store associate begrudgingly took out his own phone to research the answer via the Web.
There were no specs displayed beside the only 6T in the store, shoved in a back corner. There was no @oneplus product-specific signage whatsoever. A basic rule of product marketing & sales is that you have to both #Know about your product, and #Care about it.

This is going to be a longish thread on the NIFTY. Attempt is to look at the NIFTY from a data perspective on 3 different Time frames (Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly) and try to develop a hypothesis on the next high - probability move in the NIFTY.
Lets form a Baseline first:
1. On the Weekly charts NIFTY has seen green candles in 8 of the past 9 weeks as well as the past six consecutive weeks.
2. The weekly RSI is @ 77.xx
3. On the Monthly charts, July and August have been extremely positive and solid greens.

 Lets look at the Weekly Charts First.
1. Past Six weeks have seen all green candles.
2. There have been 15 instances of >= 6 green candles on the NIFTY Weekly Charts since 1997.
3. 4 of these 15 instances have happened since 2008 and only 2 since 2011.

This decision is very bad market psychology. If I *really* want to read something and it's checked out, I might turn around and buy it, money allowing. I've made up my mind I'm going to read it. I'm committed.

But that won't happen if I know it's not out for the e-library.
Making people wait months before your product is available through the most convenient channel for them is a good way to have it fall off their radars. There are *always* more books coming out and *always* more old books to read.
I bet they don't see an appreciable increase in day 1 ebook sales with this decision. I would not be surprised if for titles that aren't already tracking well, the early sales dip.

Ok, here I am. I'll write down some bullet-points. This isn't a rebuttal of your article (no time for that, at least not now): it's just my own list of arguments about what specifically I think makes you, and every other bcasher who isn't intentionally malicious, stupid.
1) Bitcoin is one of the greatest financial opportunities in human history. If anyone interested in wealth & misses it/fucks up w/ it, qualifies as stupid. I get from your other tweets that you're not interested in wealth (I am), so at least this point doesn't really concern you.
2) Bitcoin is one of the greatest opportunities for the advancement of personal freedom in human history. I think whoever qualifies as a "libertarian" in the anglo-saxon "free market" tradition (I guess this is the case for you) & misses it/fucks up w/ it, qualifies as stupid.

AU wherein, despite the prejudice people have against hybrids, Jeongguk’s managed to work his way up the ranks and establish a name for himself.
Taehyung, a hybrid w/ a difficult temperament, somehow falls under his care.
The only problem? Jeongguk wants nothing to do with him.
Little context:
More often than not, hybrids are sold as ‘pets’. The handful that do make smth out of themselves still fall victim to some sort of discrimination. Jeongguk’s gone through a lot & is disgusted by it all, so when Taehyung’s given to him, he hates the entire ordeal.

• Jeongguk has been aged up, so he’s four years older than Taehyung purely to allot for time wherein he becomes successful.
• This may border on nsfw.
• Taehyung will not act as a ‘pet’ or anything similar. He is a person.
