Something important to remember about the prison strike is that there are countless incarcerated ppl protesting in ways that are difficult to measure.

Something as small as refusing to spend money in the prison commissary is a subtle means of economically subverting the system.
Because prisons are institutions predicated on isolation & secrecy it can be difficult to get a full sense of how many ppl are participating in the strike.

But, as has always been the case, there are many ways for ppl to protest that are less conspicuous, but no less important.
The strike has already generated important public conversations about the violence that prisons inflict on the people who live in them.

In so many ways, it’s already been successful.
