When it comes to cold emails:
Remember - this is a COLD email
The reader doesn't know you, so you need to get to the point quickly
- Why are you contacting them?
- What are you offering?
- Why should they act now?
Some of you are trying to do too much and charging too little
You want to be like In-N-Out Burger
Have ONE core offer and sell the shit out of it again and again and again
That's a specific service for a specific target audience
It solves a specific problem with a specific solution
If you're one guy offering websites, SEO, paid traffic and copywriting...
That's WAY too much
Someone hears about you and is telling a friend what you do
What's easier to say?
He does FB ads for financial advisors
OR
He does websites, SEO, paid traffic and copywriting for small and maybe medium-sized businesses and I think startups too
You're trying to overcompensate because you don't feel good about focusing on ONE specific service
You feel like it's not enough
But specificity gives strength, confidence and clarity for you AND your clients
Yes - you can make plenty of money as a generalist
But it's hard to create SYSTEMS around being a generalist
So I'm thinking ahead to how I can SCALE efficiently
I suggest you do the same
