1/ There’s a lot going on in the world of Bitcoin and it can be hard to keep track of what's going on.
2/ As the market has cooled off (read: crashed) since the beginning of the year, a lot of people have been paying less attention to new developments, but the work being done has not slowed.
3/ @garybasin and I wrote a report with the aim to offer market participants (or those considering becoming market participants) a one-stop shop regarding the current state of Bitcoin.

Question for the bloggers: How do you decide which post in your backlog to write next?

My internal algo is something like: brand relevance * long-term ROI (SEO value, whether it's Evergreen content, etc) * Effort Required * How Excited I am about it.
So ideal post is:
1. Highly brand relevant
2. Lots of long-term ROI/Evergreen
3. Easy to Write (Usually means I already have lots of notes on it and just need to put them together)
4. Very interesting/exciting to me at the moment
3/ One way I think fails is that I can over optimize for Easy to write and Evergreen.

E.g. The Blockchain Man (ribbonfarm.com/2017/10/10/the…) was a very good post for me but was a huge PIA to write.

Putting together my presentation for the annual review workshop @fortelabs and I are hosting tomorrow and just wanted to share a couple of the things I've found most helpful this year.
One of the themes I repeatedly compe back to is @SPressfield's idea of "the Resistance" - that which you are most afraid of is that which you most need to do.

Thinking through where "The Resistance" is for me often tends to be the best indicator of what I need to work on
The other principle I think a lot about is Vertical coherence. Can I connect how the things I am doing on a day-to-day basis reflect my values and long-term hopes/goals?

When I am "in coherence" I find that I am much more motivated and effective.

1/ So, as mentioned by Joseph Young yesterday, the South Korean finance minister gave crypto exchanges the okay to allow crypto exchanges to open up accounts with them so long as they ensure those exchanges have a KYC/AML process:

3/ Many see this as a big deal because there was a banking prohibition on allowing crypto exchanges to host crypto accounts in South Korea in the beginning of this year that effectively cut off fiat on ramps in the nation:

First, my stream art. My art usually starts somehow based on a @streamlabs theme, even if only for inspiration or to make my custom CSS/JS a lot easier to wrangle. The text is usually done w/ custom browser sources. For more info on Streamlabs OBS visit streamlabs.com/slobs/d/103698…
For custom fonts, I override whatever font selection is made via custom CSS. I embed my fonts as base 64 in the CSS thanks to @FontSquirrel's webfont generator. Base 64 seems to perform the best for locally-hosted HTML files with inline CSS even. Probably because no caching.

@Valustks1 Each one of the techs listed is revolutionary in it's own right. Combining them sets us up to replace *all* financial transactions with #bitcoin. Once the epiphany hits enough people, there will be a MAD rush to get rid of worthless fiat.
@Valustks1 This will be the trigger for the already 'waiting to happen' global hyper inflation.
Imagine the chaos during the *several* year transition period while people/gov/corps *globally* move from fiat to bitcoin.
All your IOUs that are fiat denominated are suddenly worthless.
@Valustks1 It *globally* resets all debt, at every level, personal, local gov, state, federal, and international... ALL goes to zero. What does it matter if you own $20T in debt, if $20T wouldn't buy a stick of gum?

Then, another big part... the globe goes from inflationary

2/ The idea of “work” being energy started when the French Mathematician Gaspard-Gustave de Coriolis introduced the idea of energy being “work done.” A long time ago, the work done in the economy was entirely human. That work was powered by food.
3/ Thousands of years ago, our energy usage increased when we domesticated animals which could labor in our place. Those new laborers also had to be fed. Large amounts of food were required to meet the energy demand, and our prosperity increased alongside.

#Bitcoin's off chain layer 2 is what makes it adaptable to nearly anything the free market can think of.

Bitcoin's decentralization on layer 1 is what ensures it's a "free" market.
Altcoins and ICO tokens are relatively centralized, and as a result are less free and adaptable.
Thanks to #bitcoin's relative decentralization and resulting freedom, its adoption is higher and it's ecosystem more vibrant.
