3/ The most charitable interpretation is that the minister is unfortunately out of touch with the ground reality. There is constant discrimination against the #LGBT community in #Singapore.
4/ Last year I covered this story of a couple who lost their public housing flat simply 'cos they turned from a straight couple to a same-sex one. qz.com/988514/a-strai… They were put through things they would never have had to encounter if they hadn't been #LGBT.
5/ A speaker from @interunilgbt was disinvited from a TEDxYouth event. Teachers say they've been told that if a student comes out to them, they're to report it. #LGBT kids might not have the support services they need. This is Ong's own ministry here. atimes.com/article/a-rall… 
6/ Guidelines by the media development authorities restrict positive portrayals of #LGBT couples/families in the mainstream media. "Love, Simon", a coming-of-age gay teen romantic comedy, was given an R21 rating here, meaning you must be at least 21 to be able to watch it.
7/ These are just recent examples I've reported on myself—it doesn't include the many more testimonies and daily experiences of #LGBT Singaporeans of all shapes and sizes out there. For Ong to claim "no discrimination" as a "fact" means he hasn't been listening/looking.
