The irony of Lagos situation is how Lagos intellectuals cannot see that they have no moral justification to try to influence political thinking in Nigeria anymore. Jagaban era has proven that Lagos is no better than Adedibu's Ibadan at the moment.
Same Lagosians who were so quick to point fingers and laugh at the people of Ekiti as regards 'stomach infrastructure' cannot see that they are no better than the people of Ekiti in this Jagaban era- your Journalists are sellouts, the people of the states are no better than serfs
You Lagos intellectuals come on social media and try to tell every other state how to think politically when your state is being ridiculed by a political landlord that at best makes you all look like puppets who have no choice but to obey 'Babasope'

I once loved a girl so much that I started to do things to hurt myself. Truth be told, I couldn’t be honest on so many things because I didn’t want to hurt her. It ended up being a parasitic relationship, she blossomed well while I kept hurting myself emotionally and physically
The truth is all through the relationship I had no idea how much harm I was doing to myself until a very long time after, I met someone else who taught me to love myself first. It took a lot of effort and self conscious practice before I discovered self love
The truth is, you can’t claim to love anyone except you have experienced love for yourself. Is it possible to love anyone more than yourself? The moment you start engaging in such thoughts you are most likely to slip into the trap of of parasitism.

16 was the number of irunmole that descended to earth and then there was one- Oshun (The 17th member and only female of the irunmole who descended ) wasn’t given as given as much importance because of her gender.
The Irunmoles got to work immediately they got to earth, theirs was to build the earth to what it is. Oshun, the female force was ignored because of her gender by the other irunmoles and they wouldn’t let her help out- the result for the other irunmoles was failure.

2007: Maj Gen Joseph Ayango #Aondo (rtd) was #killed in the federal capital, #Abuja, 14 June 2007. He had been chairman of the political campaign group, #Yar'Adua Associates, was seized at the entrance to his house, driven 5km on the Kubwa expressway, then shot dead in his car.

1. #Nigeria is a civic state, with much devout religious practice, mainly Christian and Muslim. Religious loyalty should not undermine civic loyalty, but sometimes does. Eg should Muslims be concerned about the 'ummah' & Christians about fellow believers only? #NotAnotherNigerian
2. The #Nigerian state apparatus, including the legal system, is heavily influenced by Britain. The Muslim areas used to have traditional Sharia, and were part of the Sokoto Caliphate. Sharia always had many interpretations: many of these were civic in nature. #NotAnotherNigerian

My daughter's princess dress was made and sent from Lagos on Thursday, it was for Eid, I saw the dress on a WhatsApp profile, it was beautiful and I wanted it for her. The Peace Transport Service was the preferred means to get the dress to Abuja in time for the Eid celebrations.
I was at the transport company very early on Friday, but asked to return in the evening, same day. We were lucky we had a plan b for yesterday. The first day of Eid went well. This morning, the little girl woke me up to get her dress, I dashed out to the Peace Park in Utako.
Confidently, I read out my way bill number to the desk staff. To my shock, I was told, "Oga your parcel is still on the way from Lagos." But it was registered and sent since Thursday morning from Lagos, Nigeria? He replied, "yes, but it hasn't arrived Abuja come back tomorrow."

The glue that holds up the inefficient political system in #Nigeria, and skews it against both the will of the people and a level playing field for better candidates to emerge, is the existence of slush funds that warp campaign funding.
Security votes rank high up in upholding this system.

When the existence of the security votes is taken along with the abysmal security situation across the country, the irony is not lost on observers.
