One further thought about Kavanaugh/Ford Q:

Do not underestimate the significance of the elite context in which the alleged events occurred.

These teens were being prepped for high power positions from childhood. The path to #SCOTUS takes a lifetime & that's part of the reason it's difficult to entertain these claims.

But access to that kind of wealth & privilege comes w/ its own challenges and responsibilities.

I once met a man who was called to youth ministry in similar elite context. Initially I was incredulous, but he explained that wealthy teens face a set of distinct temptations. In part b/c of access & freedom wealth gives them.

This background doesn't validate or invalidate Dr. Ford's claims, but it's important to remember that stakes are super high in such communities... even in high school.

And now, even gated ones.
