On top of that, this wasn't the first time someone claimed high level access before. There were MULTIPLE 'WH ANONS' in the early months of the Trump presidency.
They were making the same kind of vague predictions that Q was. they were all wrong nearly as often as Q.

Much of the chans support for Trump came because Kek, in their eyes, was a God of Chaos. Kek was the herald of an age of darkness, chaos, and destruction that would be followed by a global enlightening.
So when someone comes along and says that the government is being actively subverted by an evil organization of easy to identify strawmen, of COURSE channers are going to bite. Trolling them into acting based on beliefs of a coming societal collapse is the EASIEST way to do so.
