1/ Crypto has a lot of personalities, and we all know who they are. @Melt_Dem, for example, is very charismatic. Her efforts in giving women in crypto a much larger platform are great. It is very needed and she is doing a great job. BUT and there is a big but...
2/ This charisma lets her get away with more than your average person. And people forget very quickly or turn a blind eye. But in my opinion, she shouldn’t be given a free pass for being blatantly hypocritical.
3/ And so today I’d like to talk about this, and the responsibility that crypto personalities should be held accountable to. My motivation to do this is that people need to see through the bullshit. I have received plenty of messages like these. 
4/ Meltem likes to talk about brands. And how I (and many others) built my brand by attacking people. Meanwhile, she brands herself as a Shitcoin Minimalist. She even made a t-shirt.
5/ Her portfolio (that she willingly discloses) has more than 50 of these shitcoins including the shit of the shit like Verge. Also notice that she has had quite a few of paid advisory roles.
6/ Lately, Meltem also turned against Ripple: Why? Because it’s popular and she likes being popular! But Meltem wasn’t always against Ripple. In fact quite the opposite
7/ She also personally invested in Tezos. Now that would be ok barring that it’s not classified a shitcoin by her standards. Anonymous source tells me she received a hefty presale discount, which she denies but that’s a whole another discussion.
8/ The biggest problem is that she didn't disclose this investment until Andrew Keys called her out in October last year. This was after she was attending conferences as a VP of DCG and talking about Tezos an awfully lot. She also moderated Tezos panels. Not very ethical
9/ Now her latest favorite thing is to criticize investors: The same investors that made her extremely wealthy and put her name on the map. The same investors, which sponsored her event Crypto Springs.
10/ What a nice narrative! But it’s ok because “she fully owned up to that in her presentation and made fun of herself quite a bit”. Right? Right? Nope. It’s not ok at all to be against the investors all of the sudden after she has already made a fortune on them.
11/ Meltem also mentioned multiple times that her personal code of conduct is to never promote investments. What about directly promoting Mainframe here?
12/ Meltem has also gone on CNBC plenty of times. In early December when BTC price was $17k, she said: "I think there will be a much bigger run coming in 2018 when more products and instruments come to market." But that didn’t happen of course. Link: cnbc.com/video/2017/12/…
