At Director Gina Haspel's first public address, she highlighted diversity and inclusion as one of her top priorities. In line with that priority, CIA leadership is working to raise awareness of #NationalDisabilityEmploymentAwarenessMonth.

CIA is hosting keynote speakers and holding weekly panels in October, focusing on topics such as blind/low vision, deaf/hard of hearing, physical/mobility challenges, and hidden disabilities. This allows officers to learn what they can do to make CIA's culture more inclusive.
At CIA, #NDEAM is an opportunity to continue acknowledging and celebrating the vast contributions of CIA officers with disabilities, promoting cultural understanding, and highlighting disability employment issues. Tony Mendez is best known for the 1980 #Argo operation to free US hostages in Iran, but as head of CIA’s disguise branch, he was also the architect of an “experiment in deception & illusion” that became the foundation of an operational mindset known as “#MoscowRules.”

Today we released the 6th & final set of declassified daily intelligence reports President Harry Truman received from CIA & our predecessor organization, the Central Intelligence Group, between 1946 & 1951.

Today’s release totals 723 pages of Daily Summary reports from 1950-51—a time that saw war come to the divided Korean Peninsula.
In addition, this release includes reports about the growing tensions in Indochina, particularly French activities in Vietnam, & the widening rift between Yugoslavia & the Soviet Union.

There's a great graph in the paper by Cech and Pham. This is the "workplace experience" of employees in US based STEM federal agencies. 3 = positive, 2 = neutral, 1 = negative. LGBTQ+ have a systematically worse of experience. #lgbtSTEM

So I wanted to close tonight by talking a bit about how I got involved in #diversity #equity #inclusion efforts in #STEM and otherwise, and some general considerations for getting involved, especially as a white, hetero, cisgender individual.
If you had told me 20 years ago that I would be involved, I'm not sure I would have believed you. I was a pretty ignorant and inherently biased individual bc of where and how I grew up. But luckily people can grow. A couple things happened that changed my path.
Gainesville and UF were a huge part of it. I've lived in other colleges and cities, but it's been different here. Even with all their problems, the town & university have more diversity than anywhere I'd been & people were openly discussing big important related issues together.

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.
