Over the years, I've been explicit that protest must ALWAYS be lawful and peaceful. I call on fellow Dems to do the same. But NO WAY we will let the party that shrugs at school massacres and is supported by heavily armed liberal-hating militias lecture America about violence.
This is now a concerted and systematic propaganda campaign to portray ALL Dem/progressive protest as a "mob." Extremely troubling.
Here's a strong rebuttal to the "mob" talking point.

Neither #BernieSanders nor #BetoORourke have announced if they are running. Supporters of each should feel free to battle out the issues, BUT AVOID CHARACTER ATTACKS. We cannot afford to give needless ammunition to the GOP.

I'm watching Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer bicker about the budget and the wall. This spectacle is beneath the dignity of this country.
Of course I agree with the Dem position, but the fact that we're here is just sad.
For anyone misconstruing my tweet, I'm agreeing with what Nancy Pelosi said: "I don’t think we should have a debate in front of the press on this." The fact that Trump got schooled is a good thing. But the reality is that none of us should want that kind of spectacle.
