Greetings from @ESA's operations centre in Germany, where we're following the launch of #BepiColombo together with mission experts. The spacecraft are on the launch pad at Europe's #Spaceport in Kourou & in just over 1 hour will blast off into space. Destination: planet #Mercury

Why go to #Mercury? The question we’re all interested is actually about Earth and life in general: how did it start? To address this question, we have to understand the formation & evolution of our Solar System, so we send spacecraft to explore planets & investigate #BepiColombo
"We have a problem with #Mercury..." because it’s falling out of our overall understanding of the Solar System. We don't understand how such a planet could have formed and evolved, so we not only need to send outstanding instruments there: we send a full laboratory #BepiColombo
Now Prof Ayako Matsuoka from @JAXA_en and the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS), Japan, explains the details about @JAXA_MMO #science and how it will work together with @ESA_Bepi to study another of #Mercury's mysteries: its magnetic field

Planck scanned the sky between 2009 and 2013 to observe the Cosmic Microwave Background, or #CMB, which is the most ancient light in the history of our Universe, emitted only 400,000 years after the Big Bang, and hidden beneath the microwave emission of our Milky Way galaxy
The first @Planck data release, in 2013, revealed the most precise image of the Cosmic Microwave Background ever obtained. Tiny fluctuations of the #CMB temperature in the sky allow scientists to investigate the contents, history & expansion of our #Universe in painstaking detail

2️⃣Claudication is the stable angina of the lower extremities. Described as tightness, cramping, heaviness in the legs or buttocks with exertion that improves with rest. Some patients will have atypical or no symptoms. Ask your patients!
3️⃣Critical Limb Ischemia is defined as ischemic rest pain, ulcers, or non-healing wounds. Clinical findings: dependent rubor, elevation pallor, and punched out ulcerations. Urgent angiogram and revascularization is usually indicated to prevent amputation. #CLIFighters

There's nothing US right-wingers love more than attacks on Europe, because, to them, European "Multiculturalism" has destroyed a mythological, ethnically homogeneous "motherland" white US citizens know little or nothing about, yet claim as their own. So, a Love-Hate relationship.
US right-wingers also hate Europe because it has universal healthcare, paid maternal leave, paid vacations, free universities together with higher quality of life & free-market economy. Europe a huge billboard telling the US that claims about the evils of the state are bullshit.
US citizens constantly told free-market is only solution to any problem, yet Europe a reminder that there are things that the market will not or cannot do. That drives free-market zealots -- who then desperately throw "socialism" around with no understanding of the word -- nuts.

(2) #Europe must reject notion pushed by #Washington and its allies that being pro-JCPOA means being pro-Iran. Also, #Europe must reject narrative suggesting it puts wedge in transatlantic relations by trying to safeguard JCPOA.
(3) #Iran can be kept in the deal if its economic, political and security dividend makes it conclude it’s better off with the deal. While economic dividend is part of #JCPOA terms, and the other two aren’t, they will play a role in current situation.
