LAW 36: Disdain things you cannot have: ignoring them is the best revenge.

The more you pay attention to something, the more energy you give it: to both worst enemies and best habits.

Neediness and attention-seeking don't just make you a sucker; they can poison your very Being.
1. This is a most fundamental law of Mind:

>>> Attention is energy. <<<

To give attention is to invest energy.
What you focus on you amplify, energize, manifest and embody.
Focus on obstacles, and you'll amplify them.
Focus on your anxieties, and you'll energize them.
Focus on a fear, and you'll manifest it.
Focus on petty comments, and embody pettiness.
2. The more you pay attention to things of the external world, the less you will be in control of your inner being.
Understand that you are the measure of all things, and there's nowhere else you can find direction for your life.

Begin with Yourself, and let your fortitude be projected onto everything you touch and bring into being.
The inner work anchors the outer. Don't neglect the inner work, else you'll forever slave to conditions.

Put self first and build a Vision of Yourself that moves you.
3. People make bad habits permanent through self-criticism and focus. When you lean onto it like that, the bad habit is both energized and imprinted ever more deeply into self-image.
People focus on the bad habit to get rid of it – with the opposite effect.

The sensible approach is to create a good habit that cancels it.

To stop eating junk, create a habit of eating well instead.
4. You don't need anybody's approval to be whoever you want to be.

And you'll never become that person if you do it for approval.
5. Attention-seeking poisons the mind because it leaves you directionless. You are consumed by the object of attention.
Whenever you seek attention, you give attention. To seek someone's attention is to give away your energy.
Beware attention-seekers. They seek to ensnare you with the free energy they offer, but they are time-wasters who'll drain you long-term.
Social media and dumbphone apps are designed to draw your attention and sap your energy.

If an app gives you nothing other than distraction and validation, why do you have it at all?
5. To take offense it to put yourself in the position of a victim. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Whenever you think you've been hurt or attribute ill-will, you shut off opportunities and salt your own wounds.

The more you buy into it, the more you enable conditions to hurt you.
6. Neediness doesn't just make you obnoxious, entitled and repulsive to others - it poisons the mind from within.
Understand that the only things you need are the things that keep you alive: food, water, air etc. Anything else is extra - something that you WANT.

Things that you want you can go without. And you can get anything you want if you do what it takes to get it.
When you seek people's attention, you're putting them above yourself, so how could you expect respect?

When you tell yourself you need something, you're putting the mind in a position of lack, so how do you get growth?
You don't "need" anything to master the Power of Mind. It's there already.

The daily missive shows you many ways how.
