While we celebrate the gains Democrats made on Tuesday (including over 60 of our candidates), we want to recognize the other inspiring Flippable candidates—those who lost and those whose races are too close to call—who ran incredibly strong campaigns this year.
@GiveEmHelenTai was our second flip of 2018. Many of our Pennsylvania candidates pointed to Helen’s special election victory as proof of what was possible in the Keystone State.
@calebfrostman was our third flip of 2018. His flip helped put Wisconsin in play for Democrats this year. And given the lame-duck session power grab that the Wisconsin GOP is contemplating, it’s good that he’ll hold the seat until January. bit.ly/2FhN32r
Like Caleb, @Snodgras4Senate , @julieforwi, and @Kriss4Wisconsin ran to restore democracy to Wisconsin. It gives us immense pride to have endorsed these stellar candidates.
@MossforNC, @EricaforNCHouse, @Mathis4NCHouse, @ElectMMorgan, and @ForWesson ran tough races in North Carolina against a GOP machine that’s notorious for rigging maps and elections to hold onto power. They stepped up for North Carolinians in a tremendous way.
@Bobby4RuralAZ, @ErvinForAZ, @French4Arizona, @LyonforAZ, @AtchueforSenate, @SteveWeichert, and @ChrisLGilfillan ran difficult races in Arizona. Their desire to make their state better for all Arizonans compelled them to run, and we’re glad to have supported them.
@jennforsenate ran because she wanted to take her community advocacy work to the next level as a member of the New Hampshire State Senate. Her grit is an inspiration to us all.
@berta_griffin18, @RepHenryYanez, @VotePulver, @KathyWiejaczka, @phil_phelps, and @poppysias_h gave it their all for the opportunity to bring good government to Michigan. We’re grateful for the leadership they showed on the campaign trail.
@alexkforthebay, @AllisonTheRebel, @beth4TX97, @BrandyforTexas, @CelinaForTexas, @MeghanScoggins, @SarahDFtBend ran for the Texas State House with incredible determination. We’re grateful for their voices and vision.
Through their campaigns, our candidates helped build progressive power in their communities—the power needed to drive lasting change for all of us on the state level.
