Thinking a lot about the fact that I was told that my IQ is less than 80 and that I'm "slow to encode information", while I can write down literally anything and remember it pretty much forever.
I'm pretty mad about it. Because IQ is a bullshit tool, first off. It only measures your ability to solve CERTAIN KINDS OF PROBLEMS, and it's skewed to make neurodivergent people look and feel "less than".
And "slow to encode"? We all process info differently. Read something to me and I'll need it a few times. But give it to me on a screen or on paper? I'll read a whole page in fifteen seconds and spit it all back to you like a fucking machine.

let's define blurgs. a 'blurg' is an event where a programmer understanding of "what my code does" is not "what my code does".
blurgs are an everyday part of programming, of course. we are more often "interim" than at a sign-off point. but i mean to restrict for this conversation the idea of a blurg to being a programmer-program disconnect that occurs *at* a sign-off point.
(a sign-off point is different for different teams. most of the folks i work with regard a source code push into the repo as a sign-off. others say the real sign-off points are only the days we go live. some orgs use many layers of sign-off to make it hard to sign off. whatever.)

1/ Manu (The progenitor of Humankind)
All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
