Every lawyer who practices in the federal system in ny knows GEO is a private facility that houses cooperators. Geo has less violence bc everyone in there is signed up and working towards their 5k letters. Mcc and mdc has cooperators as well.
Quite honestly there is just too many cooperators in the federal system to keep everyone in one facility. I’m sure the feds are covering their ass bc they have an identifiable threat against Tekashi that’s why they moved him.
I’m sure there are all kinds of separation orders in that case as there is with any federal case. At the end of the day the lawyer talking that the case will be dismissed or bail given is all noise.
What isn’t noise is the threats against his client which a good federal lawyer will use as mitigating 3553(a) factors in advocating for a variance to his clients guideline range.
It’s too early to tell right now these guys still haven’t been formally indicted I’m sure there will be superseding indictments in this case and rule 16 discovery to be turned over. It’s very early in litigation.
If I know the press they will be sniffing like hound dogs to create a story. They live these types of cases. As far as cooperation, you can cooperate at anytime in the process in the federal system if the info is of value to the feds. Even after conviction while serving time.
However the hood and the press are fascinated with jail shit and cooperation etc blah blah there’s a hysteria around who is talking and who is not. Ultimately the confirmation is when the trial happens and we are far from that in this case.
In the legal system all types cooperate. Cunning, manipulators, gangsters and killers, wanna bees, guys played out by their condefendants all types of cooperators
