1/ Reminded today of this quotation, which means more to me every year.

"If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men and women to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea."
2/ it is often attributed to Antoine de St. Exupéry, the author of the Little Prince. Apparently that's at the very least paraphrased.

And it is, as French often can be, even more poetic than the paraphrased translation.
4/ It speaks of love and community, of conflict melting away in the face of shared inspiration. To me, it is the ultimate way of thinking about human achievement.
