I frequent hospitals especially the laboratory section because while growing up I had this affinity for laboratory tests and experiments. Comparing those days to today will reveal a plethora of changes in methods and approaches to laboratory testing.

The same way dentists of 30years back won’t pride themselves of using the same tools today as they did 30years back. Techniques, devices and approaches have changed tremendously. Did this happen overnight? Of course not. They were gradual and consistent over the years.

These changes also weren’t centered around a single individual or organization but several thought processes and multiple organizations globally contributed to these innovations across board by and large. One may question if these changes were amicable or accepted with fluidity..

...but I believe you know the answer to that already. Every one of those improvement was met with resistance and counter argument. There will always be people comfortable with the familiar and afraid of the unknown. Many loathe the learning curve & wish to maintain status quo.

Thus, to influence any change in systems, science, technology and socio-politically, you will fight tooth and nail. This is when you will recognize the role of critics, skeptics and paranoid sentimentalists in the society stuck in the ‘Dog in a manger mode’ for good.

There are people who distrust themselves so much that they project the same spirit unto others. Nothing will make sense to them unless it is about them and benefits them. The proliferation of this kind of mentality is what stagnates most society. So value all the changes you see.

You may call them little but think of the cost and energy expended to overcome the resistance to bring about such changes while others sit in their comfort zones praying for you to fail and call you names. Yet with persistence & generous altruistic drips we progress.

Progress is a magical word synonymous with productivity and fruitfulness. It represent transitive movement from the old to the new. Follow this pattern and you unearth value. Apple became the most valuable firm in the world because it builds upon the state of human knowledge.

And to top that it prioritizes humanities along side its futuristic technology. Their track records & attributes speak for itself. They are beyond reproach having shown accountability even while keeping their trade secrets. Despite the achievements & utility of their products...

...they didn’t make themselves gods. User feedback is as welcome as anything else. In fact they thrive based on listening to those addicted to their products. This model can be borrowed in governance. By this I’m not isolating it to Govt alone but the people too.

Governance is everybody’s business. Before you qualify for leadership in sane climes you must be able to govern/lead yourself. When people express their personal opinion don’t deride them because their opinion don’t caress your sentiments. Respect is reciprocal.

Also criticism must never be criminalized in a nation that hopes to grow. The vestiges of the military interregnum must not get the best of us. Power means responsibility. Our actions as individuals must be different when entrusted with Power. Show restraint & be tolerant.

Questions bring about clarity. The greatest inventions came to light based on the attempt to give an answer to the deepest enquiry. We must never lose sight of the ability to see from all perspectives. If we can’t we must hire our weaknesses. This is key to leadership.

The collective destinies and faiths of 190Million people rest in the hands of leaders voted in by less than 50Million and yet we hope that questions will not arise when things don’t add up? 🤔

This is where I differ with people associating partisanship with idolatry. Ageism has nothing on me. Genuine diligence is key when dealing with leaders in a democracy regardless of their age and veneration by certain sects. Everyone MUST be Questioned. Presidency is not Kabiyesi.

We MUST not help them to be irresponsible. The buck will always stop at the leader’s table (save for the ridiculous and extreme cases of blaming leaders for impotence of citizens and climatic conditions). We as Active Citizens must resolve NEVER to reinforce Failure.

In the 21st Century only mental slaves and unconscionable sycophants genuflect towards imaginary body language when leaders are perpetually rooted in the path of failure with languid intransigence. You don’t hail the Captain of a sinking Ship when it’s obvious u’re all gonna die.

As far as I’m concerned from the global feelers, international communities only respect the seat of power in Nigeria (obvious based on the extension of invitations) but demonstrably shun our President. Just look at the indices and ask yourself where Nigeria is Globally.

I believe it is unthinkable that our President would attend a global event and there is no bialateral Meeting anywhere. Not even a photo shoot with world leaders. Have we been relegated to the last Division? 🤔 Yet Sis Abike insults us with his Meeting with Diaspora?

Then again they have their audience. Corruption fight failed woefully even as currently revealed with Oshiomole, NEMA parish malfeasance, Grass cutting deals et al, Economy is in comatose and Security is far worse than ever in our political history. Yet they tout Next Level? 🤔

The scale of embezzlement under this administration is uncanny. Tell me which Nation will love to continue sending aids to Nigeria, given these harmonious heists across board by theologically discombobulated, traumatized and jaundiced assembly of self aggrandizing populists?

I’m old enough to interosculate and affirm that the hardship of now is similar to those experienced all through the leadership of the same man of now. Suffice to say that the same tactics and approach is being repeated. Simulate another 4years of this. You be the judge of that.

Those battling with the strain will be quick to defend at this point by sharing photos with UN Sec & Polish President. So they were the only ones that attended? Does this also excuse bilateral agreements?

Or such trips are made just to mark attendance without any benefits in return for the expenditure of tax payers’ money? I will never blame the leaders stampeded to Power by political illiterates. No one does what you expect but that which you question and inspect diligently.

Ladies and gentlemen our leaders drained Lake Chad looking for Oil and failed to find such in commercial quantity. Experts were even kidnapped in the process yet we attended climate change we can’t raise our issues on Water crisis and the refilling of Lake Chad? 🤔

Malians, Chadians etc are now roaming our boarders seeking pasture and water causing double speak by security agencies on what might result into another crisis if not handled correctly and we have only an irrelevant picture to placate satisfactorily. We deserve the leaders we get

I really don’t care what political party you worship. My concern as a Nationalist is about Nigeria and how we are perceived internationally. What is the investor confidence in Nigeria? If you look deep enough you will realize that it is digging for oil.

Nigerians are deliberately impoverished through the weaponization of poverty just so people can act irrationally when the time comes for making collective decisions. Does this raise confidence anywhere in the 21st century? 🤔
